The Prometheus Trust is a registered UK charity (number 299648). It was founded in 1985 (and was registered as a charity two years later) in order to encourage the establishment of education
based on spiritual principles. The outlook of the Trust is universal and non-exclusive: it seeks to revive the best of the ancient philosophies and religions, and to link these with the spiritual practices of
today. As a preliminary to setting up schools and colleges, the Trust decided (in 1994) to reprint the entire works of Thomas Taylor, since the Platonic doctrines which Taylor
largely introduced into the English-speaking world are some of the clearest expositions of the great spiritual truths which the Trust seeks to promote.
The trustees are (as of January 2007): Tim Addey, chairman; Simon
Wade, secretary; Averil Addey, treasurer; Elizabeth Best, Jeremy Best, Martha Lyn, Guy Wyndham-Jones. The Trust's patrons are Donald and Monica Skilling. The trustees are involved in running informal study groups,
meditation circles and retreats. They welcome enquiries from all who share their interest in intelligent spirituality. The registered address of the Trust is: The Prometheus Trust
Eastview Cottage, 28 Petticoat Lane, Dilton Marsh, Westbury, Wilts, BA13 4DG. We can be reached by fax on (0)1373 825808, or you can e-mail us at addey@prometheustrust.co.uk
